Colombo (News 1st); 17-year-old Shukra Munawwar from a little village in Katugoda, Galle in the South of Sri Lanka made history when she won the Rs. 02 Million prize on Sirasa TV’s Lakshapathi program, the Sri Lankam version of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’, on Saturday (23).
When Shukra Munawwar made it in the Sri Lankan version of ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ , she brought all Sri Lankans together in one joyous celebration.
It was not just her sincerity, her candid and cheerful demeanour that captured the hearts across divides. It was her story, her talent, her skill and her determination.
Shukra captured the grand prize by successfully answering the questions posed by the program’s host, Chandana Sooriyabandara.
