COLOMBO (News 1st): A total of 12 COVID-19 positive cases were so far reported from the premises of the Ministry of Health, ministry officials said.
“Eight cases were reported at one division of the Health Ministry last week and another four were reported from other divisions,” Dr. Hemantha Herath, the Deputy-Director General of Health Services told reporters on Friday (Jan. 22).
According to the Deputy Director-General of Health Services, the 12 positive cases were detected through the COVID-19 identification measures available at the ministry premises.
“The first contacts of the positive cases have been quarantined, where they will be subjected to PCR tests in the coming days,” Dr. Herath further noted.
