2021 INAUGURAL SESSION OF MIHINTHALE PS ENDS IN MELEE

Colombo (News 1st);  The inaugural session of the Mihinthale Pradeshiya Sabha for 2021 opened with a physical altercation on Tuesday (19). When the session opened a councilor from the opposition was seen taking a seat in the chair designated for the Opposition Leader and thereafter, the Opposition Leader of the local government body arrived. At that moment, an altercation took place within the local government body. Sri Lanka Police later arrested the councilor who attacked the Mihinthale Pradeshiya Sabha Opposition Leader, adding the councilor was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
