Colombo (News 1st); Two drivers attached to the Sri Lanka Transport Board Depot in Angoda have tested positive for COVID-19.
Deputy General Manager of the SLTB, Panduka Swarnasinghe speaking to News 1st said 19 staff members were placed in quarantine as a result.
Speaking to News 1st he said of the 107 depots located islandwide, COVID-19 cases were reported from the Angoda, Puttlam, Negombo, Thanamalvila, and several others.
He said close contacts were traced and placed in essential services, while the maximum number of buses have been deployed to ensure there is no delay in operations.
