OVER 1000KG OF ILLEGALLY IMPORTED TURMERIC SEIZED

Colombo (News 1st);  Special Task Force personnel seized 1,259 kilograms of illegally imported turmeric from Dematagoda on Saturday (16) night.

Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said two people were arrested and a lorry was seized.

The suspects were handed over to the Dematagoda Police for investigations.
