12,329 prisoners and suspects released since the 1st of December

COLOMBO(News 1st): 12,329 prisoners and suspects have been released since the 1st of December, the Department of Prisons says.
11,203 suspects have been released during that period, according to Prison media spokesman Chandana Ekanayake.
Among them are 371 female suspects.
Additionally, 1,126 prisoners were released during that period.
