Colombo (News 1st); Authorities have decided to place Kattankudy in Batticaloa under isolation following the detection of 48 COVID-19 cases in the area.

Health Services Director of the Eastern Province Dr. A. Lathaharan speaking to News 1st said restrictions were imposed on movement until testing to detect COVID-19 cases are complete.

In addition, all business establishments in Kattankudy were closed today, and security was tightened in the area as well.
