COVID-19 FATALITIES IN SRI LANKA RISES TO 199

Colombo (News 1st); The Director-General of Health Services confirmed four (04) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Wednesday (30). Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka rose to 199.

30th December	Male	Batticaloa	72	Covid pneumonia and meningitis.	He died while being treated at Teaching Hospital Batticaloa.

29th December	Female	Colombo 10	70	Acute liver infection and stroke due to blood poisoning with Covid-19 virus infection.	She was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 virus at General Hospital Colombo and transferred to Base Hospital Homagama where she died

29th December	Male	Kolonnawa	50	Acute kidney infection with Covid-19 virus infection and heart disease with high blood pressure.	He was diagnosed as infected with Covid -19 virus and transferred from General Hospital Colombo to Base Hospital Homagama where he died

29th December	Male	Colombo 15	66	Covid pneumonia and acute diabetes.	He died on admission to the General Hospital Colombo
