Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said 13 people tested positive for COVID-19 following random tests carried out at various locations.
Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said from the 18th of December to-date, 74 people tested positive for COVID-19 in random tests.
377 close contacts of these COVID-19 positive cases were placed in quarantine, he added.
These random COVID-19 tests are carried out at the key exit points of the Western Province.
From the 18th of December to-date, 10,986 people were subject to these random COVID-19 tests, said the Police Spokesperson.
