Colombo (News 1st); The Government has planned to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to 04 million Sri Lankans in March 2021, and the first to receive it would be high-risk individuals.
One of the COVID-19 vaccines currently produced globally will be imported to the country via the World Health Organization.
State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control, Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle speaking to News 1st said most of the vaccines produced across the globe are 95% effective and the vaccine provided to Sri Lanka will be given to its citizens.
