3,000 new homes for middle income earners

COLOMBO (News 1st): Contracts to construct houses for middle income earning families were handed over at the Urban Development Authority today. 3000 houses are scheduled to be constructed under this initiative. The project will be implemented in Colombo, Gampaha, and Kandy districts. 4 housing projects will be carried out in Peliyagoda and Orugodawatte areas under 2 phases. The other projects will be implemented in Blooemendhal, Makumbura, Malabe, Boralesgamuwa, and Kandy. The houses are scheduled to be constructed in 14 months. The agreements were handed over to 9 private contractors by Dr. Nalaka Godahewa.
