Serve justice to those responsible for April Attacks immediately; Catholic Bishops' Conference

COLOMBO (News 1st): Making a special statement President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Sri Lanka Rt. Rev. Dr. Winston S. Fernando said the main objective should be to end the investigation launched into the April 21st attacks that took place in 2019, and produce those responsible before the law. "We want to bring justice to those who lost their lives. But who was pulling the strings behind this? They are mainly responsible for this," Rt. Rev. Dr. Winston S. Fernando said. He added that the other group includes those who chose to walk away from their responsibilities and duties even when they were able to prevent the attacks from taking place. "This is not something that happened overnight. This plan must have been mapped out for years. So where are these people now?" Rt. Rev. Dr. Winston S. Fernando questioned. Rt. Rev. Dr. Winston S. Fernando said the authorities must bring these criminals before the law and impose punishments.
