Blue Ocean verdict on 16th March

COLOMBO (News 1st): The court case filed for fraud against Blue Ocean Breeze and Blue Ocean Reality was taken up at the Mount Lavinia Magistrates court today. The case has been filed against the companies, Blue Ocean Breeze and Blue Ocean Realty by one client for allegedly retrieving Rs. 270 million from each client on the promise of building luxury apartments in Colombo and failing to provide the client with the apartment within the agreed time period, thus swindling the Rs. 270 million from the client. In the court proceeding held today the respondents to the case did not agree to a settlement. The defendants were ordered to provide written statements citing the charges against them by the 16th of February. The court has ordered the 02nd of March for appellants to submit their written statements in reply. Mount Lavinia Magistrate Udesh Ranatunga ordered the case to be recalled on the 16th of March to issue an order regarding the preliminary objections. President's Counsel Jayantha Weerasinghe and a group of lawyers appeared for the respondents while President's Counsel Faiszer Mustafa and a group of lawyers appeared for the plaintiff.
