Ministry of Health decides to convert large hospitals into COVID-19 treatment facilities

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Health has decided to take over hospitals that can provide treatment and facilities to a large number of people and to transform those into COVID-19 treatment facilities immediately. This decision was taken during an action committee meeting chaired by Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi today, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health. The Committee also discussed the need to allocate funds from the Ministry of Health for the construction of new centers and to obtain additional funding from the World Bank and the Asian Development Board.
