02 COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Thursday (10); total fatalities rise to 146

Colombo (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed two (02) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection and accordingly the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka has risen to 146.

The details of Thursday's (10) confirmed fatalities are as follows :

01. A 66 year old female from Colombo 02. She was diagnosed as infected with covid-19 virus and transferred to Base Hospital Homagama from General Hospital Colombo. She died on 10.12.2020 and the cause of death is heart failure due to Covid 19 virus infection.

02. A 54 year old female from Weligamat, She had arrived from Dubai and transferred from the quarantine centre to base hospital Homagama where she died on 10.12.2020 at Intensive Care Unit. The cause of death is exacerbation of kidney disease due to Covid-19 virus infection.
