Wildlife Officers launch strike demanding GoSL protect natural resources

Colombo (News 1st); Wildlife Officers attached to 13 Trade Union launched a token strike Monday (07) morning demanding the government to take concrete steps to protect the wildlife and resources located in the Polonnaruwa Flood Plains National Park.

Joint Trade Union Chief Prabash Karunathilake speaking to News 1st said if the authorities do not respond to their calls, the strike will be extended to cover the entire island.
