Permits of 30 buses cancelled for violating COVID-19 laws

COLOMBO (News1st): The passenger transport permits of at least 30 buses that operated in violation of COVID-19 laws have been cancelled, the state ministry of bus transport services Dilum Amunugama said. He pointed out that inspections have been ramped up in several parts of the country to monitor the operation of buses. Amunugama stressed that a request has been made to the inspector general of police to take legal action against bus drivers who flout COVID-19 regulations.
