COLOMBO (News1st): Spectators have been barred from entering the Sooriyawewa International Cricket Stadium to witness Lanka Premier League matches, health authorities have reiterated. "...some fans from the Western Province have gone to Hambantota and sought entry to the stadium," Dr Hemantha Herath, a deputy director-general at the health ministry said. He noted that the ministry has permitted the matches to take place without spectators as part of efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19. "We will not allow spectators to enter the ground under any circumstances," he stressed. "These directives must be followed. Otherwise, it can lead to the emergence of new COVID-19 clusters"
