COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lanka's Archbishop of Colombo has said alternative solutions should be sought if investigations are not taking place effectively into last year's terrorist attacks. His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, on Thursday, raised concerns on the progress of investigations to identify those who abetted the bombings and providing financial support. "It is regrettable to note that there has been no progress," he pointed out. The cardinal requested the government to avoid delaying the probe and recalled that president Gotabaya Rajapaksa had also pledged to conduct a full-fledged investigation into the April 21 attacks. "If that is not taking place we will have to look for alternatives and vest those duties with another entity," he said.
