COLOMBO (News1st): The western province and three prisons are at a “high risk” of COVID-19, official data show.
In the country, 163 out of 381 — 42.7 percent — administrative health areas, have been classified as high-risk zones.
Among them are 47 out of 50 areas in the Western Province, and the prisons in Bogambara, Kuruwita, and Boossa.
Most affected provinces include the North-West – 23 red zones, and the Central – 24 red zones.
The least affected is the Northern Province with five red zones.
Only the Mannar and Mullaitivu districts do not comprise high-risk areas in the entire country.
They, however, have one low-risk area each.
