COLOMBO (News 1st): Due to the current rainy condition in the island, there is an increased risk of the spread of dengue, the National Dengue Control Unit of the Ministry of Health stated.
A rapid rise in dengue in the Eastern Province is noticed due to rains, the Director of the Dengue Control Unit Dr. Aruna Jayasekara stated.
60 dengue patients were reported Last week from Batticaloa.
So far this year, 35 dengue patients have died, and close to 30,000 patients have been reported.
