COLOMBO (News 1st): The operation of buses will return to normalcy from Monday (Nov. 30), the Sri Lanka Transport Board said on Saturday (Nov. 28).
Passengers will be allowed to travel according to the number of seats, A.S.P. Weerasuriya, the Superintendent of Operations at the SLTB said.
Moreover, according to the National Transport Commission inter-provincial bus services will also resume operations according to the normal timetable starting from Monday (Nov. 28) and all bus unions were informed in this regard.
The National Transport Commission has also taken measures to commence an office transport service to Colombo, Commander (Rtd.) Nilan Miranda, the Director-General at the NTC said.
According to Commander (Rtd.) Nilan Miranda around 150 buses were deployed for this service, which commenced yesterday, and staff members can use this service at the usual fares.
