COLOMBO (News 1st): There is an increased risk in the spread of Dengue as a result of the prevailing showery conditions, health sectors warned on Thursday (Nov. 26).
Legal action will be instituted against those who do not clean their surroundings to prevent the spread of Dengue, the National Dengue Control Unit said.
“It is the social responsibility of everyone to clean the surroundings eliminating any Dengue breeding grounds in order to prevent the spread of Dengue,” Dr. Aruna Jayasekara, the National Dengue Control Unit told News 1st.
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, 35 Dengue patients have died so far this year, and more than 30,000 Dengue patients have been reported across the island.
