Protests demanding relief continues

COLOMBO (News 1st): A group of more than 200 residents of section B of the Mihidusenpura housing scheme in Dematagoda, took to the streets today, claiming that the concessions granted to them during the lockdown are insufficient. The Mihidusenpura housing complex accommodates more than 2500 residents of 370 families. The protest, which lasted for more than an hour ended, after the protesters dispersed upon the promise made by the Police OIC of the Mihidusenpura police station, that a solution will be provided to their problems.
