COVID-19 deaths in SL rise to 48

Colombo (News 1st);  02 COVID-19 deaths were reported in Sri Lanka on Thursday (12), confirmed the Director-General of Health Services.

The Department of Government Information said both victims were identified as COVID-19 infected cases and were receiving treatment at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital where they passed away.

The details released by the Department of Government Information are as follows;

01. A 54-year-old male from Colombo 12 who died following COVID-19 infection related to chronic lung disease.

02. A 45-year-old male from Meedoda who died following COVID-19 related pneumonia and bacterial infection.

Accordingly, the COVID-19 death tool in Sri Lanka rose to 48.
