Teledrama industry affected due to COVID-19

COLOMBO (News1st): The Broadcasters Guild of Sri Lanka has highlighted the problems faced by the teledrama industry amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The shooting of teledramas that are continuously telecasted is being hampered due to health restrictions, the guild said in a letter to the mass media minister. It expressed disappointment over these obstacles, citing that the shooting of teledramas had been taking place by adhering to health guidelines. Around 4500 artistes will lose their jobs if the shooting of teledramas that are aired at present are halted, the broadcasters guild lamented.
