Colombo (News 1st); The Department of Prisons was instructed to prepare an emergency contingency plan to prevent COVID-19 from entering prisons, said State Minister of Prison Reforms & Prisoners’ Rehabilitation Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle.

Further, the emergency contingency plan will include an operational guide on how to operate when a COVID-19 case is detected from inside a prison, she said.
