Colombo (News 1st); The Quarantine Curfew is in effect across 117 Police Areas in Sri Lanka and this includes 05 Police Station areas in Kuliyapitiya.

Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said a 1000-man strong police force was deployed to the check-points set up at all entry & exit points in the Western Province.

On Monday, 02nd of November, this number would be increased to 1500 Police Officers, he added.

Strict legal action will be instituted against all those who violate the quarantine regulations, he said adding a Quarantine Curfew was imposed for the entire Western Province to restrict the movement of the public and thereby prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
