COLOMBO (News1st): The government will oppose any agreement that has at least one clause detrimental to the country, a parliamentarian has said.
“What is important is not the name of the agreement, but whether it is harmful to the country or not,” government parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila noted.
He said projects that threaten national security have not been mooted under the current government.
“If someone is saying that it happened, it is a lie,” Gammanpila added.
