Colombo (News 1st);  Nuwara Eliya District Secretary Rohana Pushpakumara has requested the general public to refrain from making visits to Nuwara Eliya during the long weekend.

He said 30 people were exposed to COVID-19 in the entire district and therefore, it is not wise to make trips to the area.

All tourist attractions in the Nuwara Eliya District have been closed, he said and emphasized the public must not make trips to the area given the present situation.
