Curfew in Western Province to prevent long journeys - police

COLOMBO (News1st): The curfew in the western province was imposed since most people travel outside the region during the weekend. "People tend to journey out of Colombo during a long weekend," police spokesperson Ajith Rohana said. He pointed out that the current situation surrounding COVID-19 is different to the situation when the virus broke out first in the country. "Doctors say the virus load is high this time," the spokesperson added.
