COVID-19 cases on the rise

211 new COVID-19 cases reported at 1900 hours on Wednesday (28)

Colombo (News 1st);  211 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Wednesday (28) as at 1900 hours, said the Department of Government Information.

  • 09 cases from Quarantine Centers

  • 202 cases are close contacts.

The Department of Government Information said 140 of 202 close contacts who tested positive for COVID-19 were detected from areas placed under quarantine curfew.

The total number of COVID-19 cases reported from the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda clusters is 5,607.
