Govt. must follow non-aligned policy: Yuthukama National Organization

COLOMBO (News1st): The Yuthukama National Organization has urged the government to follow a non-aligned policy. "Our government came into power with a stance against the (US) Millenium Challenge Corporation," Gevindu Kumaratunga, the chairman of the organization pointed out. He made these remarks on the eve of US State Secretary Mike Pompeo's visit to the country. Lasantha Wickramasinghe, the secretary of the organization, said that the leaders of this country must deal with this situation in an appropriate manner. "...it is the present leader's responsibility to ensure his actions will not betray the public's mandate," he added.
