Colombo (News 1st); The Quarantine Curfew is currently in effect across 49 Police Areas in the Gampaha, Colombo, Kalutara districts and Kuliyapitiya.

On Friday night, quarantine curfew was imposed for Maradana and Dematagoda until further notice while for Payagala, Beruwala and Aluthgama it will be in effect until 05:00 AM on Monday (26).

Sri Lanka Police arrested 759 people for violating the quarantine curfew since the 04th of October, said Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana on Saturday (24). 

In addition 71 people were arrested in the past 24 hours, and 17 vehicles were seized by Police, he said.

110 vehicles in total were seized since the 04th of October 2020, said DIG Ajith Rohana.
