More than 400,000 PCR tests carried out so far in Sri Lanka

Colombo (News 1st);  415,243 PCR tests were carried out in Sri Lanka to date, said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

On Thursday (22), 8,071 PCR tests were carried out across the country.

To-date, 56,302 individuals have left for homes after completing the mandatory quarantine period.

As of this morning (23), 8,632 persons in 73 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By 6.00 Friday morning (23), 60 fully-recovered COVID-19 affectees were discharged from hospitals.

05 of them are expatriates and 55 are identified as close contacts of Minuwangoda garment factory-infected employees who were in quarantine at QCs.
