Public urged to minimize visiting state & private offices

Colombo (News 1st); The Health Sector urged the General Public to minimize making visits to Government and Private institutions.

Dr. Hemantha Herath, Acting Deputy Director-General of Health Services told News 1st on Monday (19) the general public should refrain from moving to areas where people gather, considering the growing risk of COVID-19.

He urged the general public to only visit Government and Private institutions for essential matters and to comply with the health regulations.

Public Administration Secretary J. J. Ratnasiri speaking to News 1st said operations at Government Institutions will be restricted to essential services only.

Further, the Public Day across all government institutions were postponed until further notice.
