COLOMBO (News 1st): The Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva has requested the public to assist in controlling the spread of COVID 19 by restricting their travel arrangements over the weekend. He said people need to be cautious as they may come into contact with an infected person, even in areas where curfew has not been imposed. Meanwhile, the Army Commander said 110 new cases were reported from the Minuwangoda cluster yesterday. He said these include 48 from Seeduwa, 21 from Gampaha, 05 from Weyangoda, 09 Minuwangoda, and 04 from Divulapiya. In addition, he said, 01 person from Colombo, 07 from Katana, 02 from Ja-Ela, and 01 each from the Wattala, Kegalle, and Negombo areas tested positive yesterday.
