COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lankan authorities are inquiring two possibilities of the origin of the COVID-19 cluster in Minuwangoda, officials said Friday.
“We are certain that we can uncover information very soon,” army commander Shavendra Silva, the head of the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said.
He pointed out that the government will impose curfews only when required, and not because a few patients are detected from those areas.
“The government, led by the President and the Prime Minister, meets with the Task Force every day to analyze the situation,” Silva pointed out.
He said that the government has introduced several regulations concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, to protect the people from being infected by the virus.
“We are doing this to ensure the safety of the other people in the community,” the army commander said.
