110 COVID-19 cases from Minuwangoda cluster (1900 hours)

Colombo (News 1st);  49 new COVID-19 cases reported as of 1900 hours on Friday (16), said Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO). 35 of these cases were reported from Quarantine Centers and the remaining 14 cases were Close Contacts, said the Army Commander. The Department of Government Information said accordingly, a total of 110 COVID-19 cases were reported at 1900 hours on Friday (16). Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 cases reported from the Minuwangoda Cluster rose to 1899 cases.
