District Secretary seeks to re-issue Rs. 5000/- allowance

Colombo (News 1st); District Secretary of Gampaha Sunil Jayalath had requested the Finance Ministry to provide relief to 72,000 affected families in the district.
He had requested for the Rs. 5000/- allowance be provided once again to the families taking into account the present situation.
A Senior Officer of the Finance Ministry said the request is under consideration.
