Colombo (News 1st); A student from Kuda-Gammana in Divulapitiya who sat for the G. C. E. Advanced Level Examination on Monday tested positive for COVID-19 and he was moved to the Infectious Diseases Hospital on Wednesday (14).

Health authorities said multiple students who faced the examination along with the student who was exposed to COVID-19 were directed to PCR tests.

In addition, an Advanced Level student who was placed in self-quarantine tested positive for COVID-19.

R. Suresh Kumara, the Administrative Public Health Inspector for Seeduwa said the student was moved to the Infectious Diseases Hospital on Wednesday (14) and necessary steps were taken to allow him to sit for the exam while in hospital.
