Sufficient facilities available to treat COVID-19 patients, officials say

COLOMBO (News 1st): Health authorities have said that the public does not have to worry about the facilities to treat COVID-19 patients in the country. "...we have sufficient beds and facilities to treat them," Dr Hemantha Herath, the deputy director-general of health services said on Tuesday. He pointed out that it will require at least a month or two to completely bring the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases under control. "The people are extending great support towards these efforts. We will require this support in future as well," the deputy director told reporters. He stressed that the spread of COVID-19 has been limited to clusters in the country.
