Local fishermen advised to avoid contact with foreign counterpart

COLOMBO (News1st): Local fishermen have been advised not to have ties with foreign fishermen and seafarers due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said. Restrictions may be imposed on the fishing industry if this directive is not followed, a director at the fisheries department Padmapriya Tissera warned.
