COLOMBO (News1st): The police has urged individuals to maintain a record on the places visited by them, to ease contact tracing amidst a second surge in COVID-19 cases in the country. "We request the people to maintain a record of the places they visit on a mobile phone or diary," police spokesman Ajith Rohana told reporters on Monday. He insisted that the public should avoid unnecessary travel and to avoid leaving their homes in an irregular manner. "Leaving the house on multiple occasions can be dangerous to you and other members of the family," Rohana, a deputy inspector general, told reporters. He also called on three-wheeler drivers to maintain a log on their passengers and their drop-off locations.
