Colombo (News 1st); All employees at the Mattala International Airport will be subject to PCR tests after a worker attached to the Janitorial Service at the Bandaranaike International Airport tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday (08).
All staff at the BIA were subject to PCR tests on Wednesday (07), said State Minister of Aviation, and Export Zones Development D. V. Chanaka adding groups suspected of having the virus were instructed to self-quarantine.
Only staff attached to essential services at the MRIA are requested to report to work said the State Minister adding personnel from identified risk zone will not be requested to report to work.
The close contacts of the worker attached to the Janitorial Service at the Bandaranaike International Airport have also been instructed to self-quarantine and 46 janitorial service workers were subject to PCR tests and moved to self-quarantine.
