Several more apparel workers test positive for COVID-19

Colombo (News 1st); 06 more people tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday (07) as of 19:30 hours, said Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff & the Commander of the Army.
05 of them are apparel workers attached to Minuwangoda factory & 01 is a contact of a COVID-19 case.
An apparel worker attached to the Welisara Brandix Factory tested positive for COVID-19 earlier on Wednesday (07), in addition, a Janitorial Service worker attached to the Bandaranaike International Aiport also tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka stands at 4454.
