Colombo (News 1st): Multiple Government Institutions have decided to suspend their operations following the re-emergence of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.
The Department of Pensions will remain closed for the general public on the 08th, 09th, and 10th of October.
The Inland Revenue Department will be closed from 07th October until further notice. Services to be provided online.
The Department of Ayurveda said interviews fixed for the 08th, 09th, and 10th of October were postponed until further notice.
All courts have already been notified of the manner in which court proceedings should be conducted in the event of the Covid-19 outbreak and regarding the health care instructions to be followed, said Secretary to the Ministry of Justice M.M.P.K.Mayadunne.
A statement issued by the Department of Government Information noted the Judicial Service Commission has already instructed the relevant courts to give new dates for the relevant cases in the areas where the curfew is in effect.
The Chief Secretariat of the Western Province announced the process of issuing revenue licenses in the Western Province will be suspended from the 07th to the 16th of October.
It added, fines will not be imposed for expired revenue licenses during the said period.
The Director of the National Eye Hospital said the General Public should only visit the Hospital in the event of an emergency, essential services, or clinical treatment.
