COVID-19 case detected from Divulapitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st): A 39-year-old woman from Divulapitiya has tested positive for COVID-19, The Department of Government Information said on Sunday (Oct. 04). "She tested positive when leaving the Gampaha hospital after recovering from a fever and is currently admitted the Infectious Disease Hospital," the Government Information Department said in a statement. The statement further reads, "Around 15 staff members at the Gampaha hospital have been directed into self-quarantine and 40 staff members at a private company, where the patient is employed were directed into self-quarantine." According to the Government Information Department, contact tracing and conducting PCR tests on all traced contacts are currently underway. The Department of Government Information urged the general public to remain vigilant and follow the relevant health guidelines.
