Colombo (News 1st);  04 people who arrested to sell 02 Conch Shells or Walampuri for Rs. 60 Million were remanded until the 06th of October by Galle Acting Magistrate Somasiri Uduwella.

The suspects are residents from Kandapola in Nuwara Eliya, Denipitiya in Weligama, Hatton, and Bulathsinhala.

Personnel from the Katukuruna Special Task Force, following a tip-off, posed as buyers and made the arrests in Imaduwa, Galle.

The suspects were detained while en-route to Weligama to finalize the sale and were handed over to the Imaduwa Police.
