Councillor of Ipalogama PS, among three remanded over drug charges

COLOMBO (News 1st): Three suspects including a councillor of the Ipalogama Pradeshiya Sabha who were arrested for the possession of Heroin were remanded until the 6th of October. The order was issued after the suspects were produced at the Kekirawa Magistrates Court today (Sept. 26). The arrests were made in the Gonapathiwara area, during an inspection conducted based on army intelligence. During the arrest, 3 grams and 60 milligrams of Heroin were discovered in the possession of the suspects.
